Job Description

As the MRO Engine Manager, you will report to the Chief Technology Officer and lead the development of Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) strategies for our engine fleets. This role involves analyzing current MRO performance, defining improvement requirements, conducting options analysis, and making decisions on whether to produce internally or outsource. Close collaboration with the Director of COE Engine is essential to ensure alignment with the engine production strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement an engine MRO strategy to meet customer needs.

Collaborate with the Director, Engine COE to define requirements for improving engine production and MRO performance.

Establish processes for reporting and analyzing engine MRO performance.

Lead decisions on whether to produce engine components and accessories internally or externally.

Organize and oversee the establishment of internal or external engine MRO capabilities.

Ensure growth of engine MRO capability by developing repair capabilities for future engine capacity.

Ensure compliance with company standards in procuring parts, supplies, and services.

Streamline processes to minimize costs, reduce errors, and meet deadlines.

Consolidate engine MRO capabilities where possible by working with all business units.

Provide training to technicians on various engine types as needed.

Requirements:

5+ years of supervisory/management experience in a related role specific to Aircraft Engine MRO strategy.

10+ years of experience in aircraft engines or in engine MRO strategic sourcing across various engine types.

Experience managing supplies, inventories, shop supervision, and overall production quality.

Proficiency in developing and implementing strategic plans.

Ability to solve complex problems within budget and tight deadlines.

Experience analyzing and recommending make or buy decisions.

Effective communication skills and ability to build strong relationships.

Strong prioritization and deadline management skills.

Proficiency in creating and maintaining accurate documentation.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Thorough knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Local industry contacts are considered an asset.
